Alcmene
Generation V · Mother of Heracles · The Titans · The Olympians
A princess of the Perseid house and wife of Amphitryon, Alcmene was famed as the wisest and most beautiful of mortal women. Zeus came to her in her absent husband's likeness — stretching one night into three — and of that visit she bore Heracles, twin to Amphitryon's own son Iphicles. Granddaughter of Perseus through her father Electryon — that mortal line is not seated in this archive.
