Asteria, sister of Leto, is the Titaness of shooting stars and the prophecies that come by night, in dreams and among the dead. Pursued by an amorous Zeus, she plunged into the sea in the form of a quail and became the island later called Delos — the very ground on which her sister's twins were born.
