Bia is force made divine — the compelling, irresistible violence that carries out the will of Zeus. Brought to Olympus by her mother Styx with her siblings Nike, Kratos, and Zelus, she appears in Aeschylus as the silent partner who helps pin Prometheus to his Scythian crag.
