The most shadowy of the twelve, a Titan later read as the pillar holding up the southern quarter of the sky, his name echoing the ram of the constellations. By the sea-goddess Eurybia he fathered Astraeus, Pallas, and Perses, and so stands behind the winds, the stars of dawn, and Hecate's line. He fell with his brothers when the Titans lost their war and was bound beneath the earth.
