Typhon
Generation III · Storm winds and volcanic fire
Typhon was Gaia's last and most terrible child, borne to Tartarus after the Titans fell — a serpentine colossus with a hundred fire-eyed snake heads speaking in every beast's voice. He came within a breath of overthrowing Zeus before the thunderbolt broke him, and he lies imprisoned beneath Mount Etna, whose eruptions are counted as his restless fury.
