A sea god whose very name means wonder, Thaumas embodies the marvels the ocean throws up — from shimmering light on water to sudden squalls. By the Oceanid Electra he fathered swift Iris of the rainbow, and in most tellings the storm-footed Harpies as well, a household spanning the loveliest and fiercest moods of the sky over the sea.
