Theia
Generation IV · Sight and the shining sky
Titaness of the shining upper air and, by extension, of sight itself, which the Greeks imagined as a beam of light from the eye. Pindar honoured her as the one who gives gold its irresistible gleam. With her brother Hyperion she bore the three lights of heaven: Helios, Selene, and Eos.
