Daughter of War and Love, Harmonia is the goddess of concord — the accord that binds households and cities together. The gods themselves attended her wedding to Cadmus at Thebes, where she received the famous necklace of Hephaestus's making, a gift that would trail misfortune through generations of her mortal descendants.
