Generation V · The fair-flowing spring

'Lovely-flowing,' an Oceanid whose name graced real fountains across the Greek world. She married Chrysaor, the golden-bladed son sprung from Medusa's severed neck, and bore the triple-bodied Geryon, whose famous cattle Heracles drove away as his tenth labour. Hesiod's verses also associate her with the birth of the monstrous Echidna, making her an unlikely grandmother of monsters.
