Ker

Ker is violent death on the battlefield, often multiplied into the Keres — dark, clawed spirits imagined crowding over the wounded and the dying to drink their blood. Hesiod lists black Ker among the fatherless children of Nyx, sister to Death, Doom, and Sleep. Hesiod is explicit that Nyx bore this child alone, without any father.
