Thanatos

Thanatos is Death himself, the iron-hearted twin of gentle Sleep, born to Night alone. He is best remembered for being outwitted: crafty Sisyphus once clapped him in chains, and while Death sat bound, no one anywhere on earth could die. Hesiod is explicit that Nyx bore this child alone, without any father.
