Moros is Doom — the unseen pull that carries every mortal life toward its appointed end, a force even the gods do not overturn. Hesiod names him first among the children that Night bore with no father, and tradition credited him with driving mortals to their fated deaths. Hesiod is explicit that Nyx bore this child alone, without any father.
