Dike
Generation VI · Justice
Daughter of Zeus and Themis and one of the three Horae, Dike is justice itself among mortals, sister to good order and peace. Hesiod pictures her seated beside her father's throne, weeping to him whenever crooked judges twist the law, so that no bribe taken in a courtroom on earth goes unremarked in heaven; later tradition set her among the stars as the maiden Virgo.
