Generation VI · The Gorgon-slayer
Born of Danaë and the golden rain of Zeus, Perseus flew on winged sandals to the edge of the world and struck off Medusa's head, watching her only in the mirror of his polished shield. On the way home he freed Andromeda from the sea-monster and made her his queen, and he went on to found Mycenae and the Perseid dynasty.
