Minos
Generation VI · King of Crete
Son of Zeus and Europa, Minos ruled Crete from Knossos and made her navy master of the Aegean. Beneath his palace Daedalus built the Labyrinth to hold the Minotaur, into which Athens was forced to send its youths as tribute until Theseus came. For his lawgiving in life, he was made one of the judges of the dead below.
