Terpsichore

Born with her eight sisters to Zeus and Mnemosyne, Terpsichore is the Muse who 'delights in the dance,' patroness of the chorus and of every measured step. She is shown seated with a lyre, keeping time for the dancers, and her name survives wherever people speak of the terpsichorean art — proof that of all the Muses, hers is the gift bodies remember.
